Author: Dr. Puja Prerna

Virtually everything about a society, that is to say its social structures and all else, are conditioned by the nature of its economy. As true today as it was in the Classical era. Economic recession and crisis are still very much a thing at present. Even in the olden days, the economy was also badly affected by the inability of kings and ill-fate, etc. Once more they were reminded of the problem of economic success. Sources of history on Ancient India in Ancient, Medieval, and Modern Bengal, as divided into periods, request methodology testing. According to the periods, once more a number of untranslated early Indian works have been found there. Due to this, information about ancient India is rather scarce. Attempts are made to know about Ancient India with all kinds of limitations. It was necessary for me to work over several books and papers in order to finish the present study. I must cautiously glean knowledge from there after going through books and articles. I use the data from these after discarding and incorporating all other available data, in my analysis. In fact, information is there on the condition of economy at that time as well through many mediums like currencies, property titles, copper plates etc.
